Orioles lineup game preview: 6/21/19

The Baltimore Orioles will play game two of a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners finish from T-Mobile Park.

After a 5-2 loss in game one last night, the Birds look to get back in the win column after losing nine straight games.

The team also made more roster moves after the game, sending relievers Evan Phillips and Paul Fry down to Triple-A Norfolk. In addition, relievers Branden Kline and Tanner Scott have been called up.

Tonight will be a bullpen game for the Orioles, as they send LHP Sean Gilmartin (0-0, 0.00 ERA) to the mound for the first time this season. The Mariners will counter with RHP Mike Leake (6-6, 4.14 ERA).

Chris Davis is back in the lineup tonight, batting eighth and playing first base. Pedro Severino will be the designated hitter, while Chance Sisco will be behind the plate doing the catching.

In other related news, outfielder Joey Rickard has been claimed off waivers by the San Francisco Giants. Rickard was selected in the 2016 Rule-5 Draft by the Orioles. In his time with the organization, Rickard hit .245/.299/.372 in 317 games with the Birds.
