Orioles Kyle Bradish Dominates in AA Rehab Start

Last night was a promising one for O’s fans. Kyle Bradish, who was a key piece in the Baltimore Orioles’ 2023 starting rotation, completed his first rehabilitation game with the AA Bowie Baysox.

Bradish got the ball first for the Baysox on Tuesday night against the Altoona Curve, the AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went ahead and pitched three scoreless innings, racking up four strikeouts and only giving up one hit. 26 of his 44 pitches thrown were for strikes, and it was said that he topped 96 MPH with his pitch velocity.

This start was an optimistic step in the right direction for both Bradish and Baltimore fans, as he is currently projected to return to the Orioles’ rotation sometime in May. With Tyler Wells being placed on the 15-day-IL on Tuesday, Baltimore is eager to add some more healthy stability to their pitching staff, and hopefully Bradish can fill that role sooner rather than later.

The Baysox were able to power behind Bradish and come up with a 10-4 win over Altoona. Alongside Bradish’s dominant outing, Bowie’s offense was powered by players such as Dylan Beavers, going 3-4 with a home run and 2 RBIs, and Frederick Bencosme who went 2-5 with 3 RBIs.
