Orioles Bounce Back From Loss Last Night

The Baltimore Orioles came out swinging to win the game seven to three against the Washington Nationals. The Orioles started fast with a double in the bottom of the first inning to bring in two runs to lead the game two to nothing after one inning.

Following a dominant top inning, the Orioles came up to bat in the bottom of the second. Alex Velazquez hit a RBI triple to score one run. That triple would be Velazquez’s first MLB triple and RBI. Immediately following, Hanser Alberto brings in Velazquez on a sacrifice fly ball. At this point the game would stand at four to nothing with the Orioles on top.

The Nationals got on the board in the top of the fourth inning with a monster Juan Soto home run to score two runs. This would make the game four to two. Rio Ruiz answered with his own home run in the bottom of that same inning to push the Orioles’ lead to five to two.

Two innings later in the top of the sixth, Trea Turner hit a solo home run to make it a five to three ball game. The Orioles would answer in that same inning with a double by Alberto to plate a run, thus making it a six to three game.

The Orioles would finish up their scoring in the bottom of the eighth inning. Jose Iglasies singled to bring in Alberto to finally put the score to seven to three. This would become the final score as the Nationals would be unable to come back.

The Orioles would score seven runs on thirteen hits with no errors. Conversely, the Nationals would score three runs on six hits with two errors. The Orioles look to continue their winning streak tomorrow afternoon against the Nationals.
