Orioles add plenty of infield depth from trade with Braves

Yesterday, the Baltimore Orioles traded pitcher Tommy Milone to the Braves in return for infielder AJ Graffanino, infielder Greg Cullen. In 2018, Graffanino finished the year with a .318 combined batting average with seventeen RBIs.

Additionally, he finished 2018 with a .918 fielding percentage. Even though he only played one game for the Florida Fire Frogs in 2019, he finished the game with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Greg Cullen has his own list of achievements too. Last year he played 130 games for the Rome Braves and he absolutely raked at the plate. He finished the year with a .401 batting average, .794 on base percentage, nine home runs and fifty eight home runs. In the 2019 season, Cullen amassed an impressive .976 fielding percentage.

I could not be more happy with this trade. Even though it will be hard to see Milone pitch for another organization; it will be rewarding to see that the Orioles defense will be a formidable force for opposing batters to contend with. Elias and the front office really struck gold here.
