Orioles acquired C Andrew Susac from Milwakuee
Breaking News into Baltimore, The Orioles have acquired catcher Andrew Susac. The 27-year old catcher comes off a season where he saw few but some plate appearances for the Brewers. Batting .083 in 12 AB is not great but to his point Susac has never truly been given a chance.
The second round pick in 2011 by the San Fransisco Giants has spent a total of 104 games at the Big league level. In 250 AB he produced, .232AVG/.299OBP/.396SLG. Noting pops out to me but Suscac will indeed be given his chances in Baltimore. Other then Caleb Joseph most likely being the starting catcher Susac will be competing with the birds young prospect Chance Sisco for the backup job for the birds.
The Orioles have acquired C Andrew Susac from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
