Dr. Kate Bossert has been named Faculty Athletics Representative for the Notre Dame of Maryland Athletic Department, Notre Dame of Maryland University announced Aug. 11, 2026. The Notre Dame of Maryland University associate professor will represent the institution and its faculty in relationships with the NCAA and the United East Conference.
Bossert Joins Notre Dame of Maryland Athletics in Faculty Role
Bossert is an associate professor in the English department at Notre Dame of Maryland University’s School of Arts, Sciences & Business. The Faculty Athletics Representative is a faculty or administrative staff member designated by an institution’s president, chancellor or another appropriate entity to represent the institution and its faculty in relationships with the NCAA and its conference or conferences.
Bossert earned a bachelor’s degree in English and fine arts, with a focus in drama, from Loyola. She later earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in English from Maryland.
Her affiliations include the Modern Language Association, the Medieval and Renaissance Drama Society, the Shakespeare Association of America and the Sixteenth Century Society.
