MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — The Notre Dame of Maryland men’s soccer team dropped its United East Conference opener, falling 4-1 to defending league champion Penn State Harrisburg on Sept. 26 at the Nittany Lions’ home field.
Trailing 2-0, Notre Dame of Maryland got on the board in the 35th minute when Nadim Ismaeel assisted Tassilo Lehmkuhl for the lone goal of the game for the Gators.
Notre Dame of Maryland Converts Only Shot on Target
The Gators totaled three shots in the match, with Lehmkuhl’s goal coming on their only shot on target. Penn State Harrisburg finished with 12 shots, including seven on target.
Goalkeeper Liam Wahlgren Pedersen made three saves in his first conference appearance. This game was the season opener for both teams in United East Conference play.
