Norfolk Tides: Recap 5/21-6/9

After a mediocre start to the 2019 season, the Tides sit at 20-21, with plenty of baseball left in this young season.

Well, the Norfolk Tides were not able to get over the hump, despite nice performances from Ryan Mountcastle, DJ Stewart, and Chance Sisco. 

However, Chance Sisco and DJ Stewart were both called up to the majors because they were swinging the bat so well at Norfolk. 

Ryan Mountcastle was left out of the lineup for a few days, as a precaution for some wrist soreness he was dealing with. 

Although DJ Stewart and Chance Sisco were called up, they will likely come back down when other players start to get healthy.

Austin Hays was just promoted to Norfolk from Double-A Bowie, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. 

DJ Stewart was named the Baltimore Orioles Minor League Player of the Month for the month of May.
