OWINGS MILLS, Md. — The No. 17 Stevenson University women’s field hockey team defeated Arcadia University 6-0 on Saturday, Sept. 5, earning its second consecutive shutout to open the 2026 season. Lauren Tobin led Stevenson with one goal and one assist for three points in the MAC victory.
Sydney Aylward opened the scoring 1:35 into the game with an assist from Lauren Schulz. Shae Bennett scored about 1 1/2 minutes later, giving Stevenson a 2-0 lead.
Second-half scoring surge extends Stevenson lead
After a scoreless second quarter, Taylor Valoczki extended Stevenson’s lead at 42:21 of the third quarter. Gracyn Catalano scored in the fourth quarter with an assist from Tobin, who added a goal 10 minutes later to make it 5-0.
Madison Rebhorn completed the scoring with less than a minute remaining, scoring her first collegiate goal assisted by Stella Khazen. Aylward, Bennett, Valoczki and Catalano each finished with one goal and two points, while Schulz and Khazen each recorded one assist.
Goalkeepers combine for second consecutive shutout
Jordan Vradenburgh and Ollie Winterle split time in goal for Stevenson and combined for three saves. Stevenson finished with 19 shots on goal, while Arcadia University recorded three.
Stevenson is scheduled to travel to McDaniel on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. contest.
