NFL Week 14: Key Matchups
NFL Week 14 is upon us. There are a few key matchups on the slate for Sunday that are very crucial for both the playoff race and the 2024 NFL Draft. Here I will highlight a few games on the slate for week 14. Let’s take a look:
There is only 1 game that caught my eye this week. Simply because these two teams Have to avoid losing in week 14 for close division races.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns (1:00pm):
This matchup vs the Cleveland Browns and the Jacksonville Jaguars is a key matchup today because both teams are fighting for their respective divisions and playoff spots.
For Cleveland, this game is another measuring stick game for them to prove that they are contenders or pretenders. They come into today’s game losers of 2 straight. In those two losses they haven’t looked well as a unit. They currently hold the 5 seed in the AFC playoff picture. As I stated before in a previous article. The Browns are going to have to rely on this defense to get them to the big dance in January, if that doesn’t happen the remainder of the season then they will be sitting on the couch come January. But on the other side of the ball the offense has to do their part as well. Their schedule to end the season isn’t that daunting.
For the Jaguars, they cannot afford another let down like they did last Monday Night against the Cincinnati Bengals. As they sit atop the AFC South. The Houston Texans are on their heels in this wild AFC South division race. Next, the main question is going to be whether or not Trevor Lawrence is fully healthy or not with an ankle sprain suffered in last week’s loss. If he isn’t fully healthy then he can run the risk of hurting himself again and his teammates. The mission for the Jaguars should be to finish strong and handle their own business
