Navy Football Prepares to Take on USF

Navy Football prepares to take on USF this Saturday (September 30th) in the fourth all time meeting between the two schools. This is the first time Navy and USF have played since 2019 when Navy won 35-3.

Navy leads the series 2-1 including being 2-0 in Annapolis, where the game will be played this weekend.

Both teams come into the matchup with top 25 rushing offenses in the country. Navy (no. 10) averages 223 yards per game while USF (no. 24) averages 203 yards per game. Unlike Navy, USF likes to use tempo and play as fast as possible. The team averages 84 offensive plays per game (fourth most in the country) while Navy averages just 64 (103rd nationally).

Penalties could also play an important factor in this game as navy commits an average of just 3 per game while USF averages 9.75 per game. Navy comes into the game as 3 point favorites. However, this is a USF team that stayed within 14 points of Alabama and could present a huge challenge to the Midshipmen if they are on their game.

The game will be broadcast on CBS at 3:30 ET.
