Nats Sign Pitcher Josh Edgin

The Nationals have signed former Mets lefty bullpen pitcher Josh Edgin to a Minor League Deal, according to CBS Sports. Edgin is 31 years old, and if he proves to be effective, could be a part of the Nationals pen as they move further along in the season.

While the Nationals improved their bullpen drastically last year with the addition of Sean Doolittle, Ryan Madson, and Brandon Kintzler, they still lack depth, which Edgin could provide.

Edgin’s best year was 2014, when he boasted a 1.32 ERA over 47 games. Last year, he had a 3.65 ERA over 46 games.
