Nats Lose to Mets 4-2

The Nationals are 47-47 with tonight’s loss in the second game of a four game series with the New York Mets. The final score in Flushing, New York was 4-2. The Nats are now at .500. The winning pitcher tonight was Noah Syndergaard for the Mets, his fifth win of the season. The loss was Tanner Roark’s 12th of the year, making his record now 3-12. The Mets scored all four runs in the first two innings. They scored three on three singles by Syndergaard, Jose Bautista, and Devin Mesoraco. They also scored a run on a sacrifice fly hit by Wilmer Flores. The Nationals got their two runs on a Wilmer Difo double in the third inning, and Matt Adams hitting his 14th home run in the 8th.

The Mets have now evened up the series, and the Nats are on the verge of going under .500 before the all-star break.
