Nationals lose to the Brewers 5-3

The Washington Nationals lost to the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday evening in regular season action. The Nats’ record currently stands at 14-20. The Brewers’ move to 21-16.

Max Scherzer pitched a very strong six innings for Washington. Scherzer allowed 6 hits and 10 strikeouts while pitching. Dan Jennings a relief pitcher struggled only allowed 3 hits and 1 strikeout.

Offensively the long ball ruled for Washington In the first inning, first baseman Howie Kendrick homered to the left, Eaton scored. In addition, in the middle of the top of the seventh inning, Adam Eaton homered to the right.

The Nationals play game of two of the series tonight at 7:40pm. Pitching for the Nationals will be Stephen Strasburg.
