Nationals lineup and roster moves – 7/6/19
The Washington Nationals are looking to bounce back from yesterday's extra-inning loss to the Kansas City Royals with the second game of the weekend series. Max Scherzer has returned from the paternity list in time for his scheduled start today. Scherzer currently holds an 8-5 record and a 2.43 ERA. Following Scherzer's return from the paternity list, the Nationals have optioned Austin Voth to the Double-A Harrisburg Senators. Adrian Sanchez will remain with the Nationals as an extra bench bat and backup infielder. Also of note, the Nationals are celebrating their Montreal Expos heritage, and as such, players will wear bright blue Expos jerseys.

- Juan Soto - LF
- Howie Kendrick - 2B
