Nationals beat Marlins 3-1: Recap 7/3/19

The Washington Nationals beat the Miami Marlins on Wednesday evening at Nationals Park in regular season action. The Nationals record currently stands at 44-41. The Marlins drop to 32-52.

Stephen Strasburg pitched a very strong seven innings. Strasburg allowed two hits and fourteen strikeouts while pitching. Fernando Rodney allowed one hit and zero strikeouts in relief for Washington.

In the bottom of the sixth, second baseman Brian Dozier homered to left (406 feet), Soto scored.

At the bottom of the eighth, Addams homered to right (412 feet).

With a win over the Marlins, the Nationals play game three of the series tomorrow morning at 11:05am. Pitching for the Nationals will be Anibal Sanchez.
