Mychal Givens traded to the Rockies

In the Orioles second trade of the day, they trade reliever, Mychal Givens to the Colorado Rockies.

Throughout this season, Givens has a 1.38 earned run average and nineteen strikeouts. The Orioles acquire short stop Terrin Vavra, first baseman/third baseman Tyler Nevin, and a player to be named later.

Vavra is ranked number seven and Nevin is ranked number fourteen in the Rockies’ minor league prospects.

Elias and crew continue to bolster the Orioles’ farm system with this trade.

This move took me by surprise. It has me now wondering what Elias and Hyde will do for the remainder of the time until the trade deadline passes.
