Mount St. Mary’s University Women’s Tennis player Margherita Trolese went 1-1 in singles competition on the first day of the ITA Atlantic Regionals at Liberty University, recording the Mountaineers’ only win of the day.
Trolese lost to Yoanna Radulova, 1-6, 6-7, in the qualifying bracket before defeating Charlotte Weber, 7-5, 6-4, in the consolation bracket. The result gave Mount St. Mary’s University Women’s Tennis its only victory reported from the opening day of competition.

Venus Tang also competed on the first day and lost to Corinna Rietmann, 1-6, 3-6, in the first round. Tang advanced to the consolation bracket after the loss.
Anna Barlini and Eirini Tsakiri have yet to compete in doubles. Tsakiri also holds a spot in the singles main-draw bracket but had not played yet at the time of this report.
ITA Atlantic Regionals Continue
The ITA Atlantic Regionals are hosted by Liberty University. Day two of the event is Saturday, October 17, followed by day three on Sunday, October 18.
