Mount St. Mary’s University men’s tennis won all four doubles matches for the third consecutive day and added three singles victories against Loyola University in exhibition competition on September 20, 2026. The matches took place in Baltimore, Maryland, during the final day of the McClure Invitational, hosted by Loyola.
Stefanos Pournaropoulos, Nick Makris and Federico Strocchi each won both their singles and doubles matches. Alexi Roy, Ryan Wagner, Akarsh Gaonkar and Antoine Martel each went 1-1, earning doubles victories before losing in singles.
Men’s Tennis Doubles Results at McClure Invitational
Sergei Likhogrud and Stefanos Pournaropoulos defeated Ryan Gill and Petter Hagen 6-3. Alexi Roy and Nick Makris followed with a 7-6 (7) victory over David Suares and Louis Moldenhauer.
Ryan Wagner and Antoine Martel defeated Blake Edwards and Eddie Roake 6-0. Akarsh Gaonkar and Federico Strocchi completed the doubles sweep with a 6-4 win over Cyrus Shivkumar and Aidan Francia Cotter.
