Mount St. Mary’s men’s soccer fell 1-0 to the Bucknell Bison in a non-conference road match Tuesday night, Oct. 6, in Lewisburg. Drew Roskos scored in the 21st minute, assisted by Jack Lucas, and Bucknell carried the lead into halftime.
Mount St. Mary’s Records No Shots on Goal
Garrett Alban led Mount St. Mary’s with two shots, but the team did not record a shot on goal. Bucknell had three shots on goal.
Lars Almankaas made two saves in his second career start, including a one-touch save before halftime that prevented Bucknell from increasing its lead.
Kevin Rivera Red Card Leaves Mount with 10 Men
Mount St. Mary’s lost a player late in the match when Kevin Rivera received a red card. The dismissal left the Mount with 10 players for the remainder of the game.
The loss moves Mount St. Mary’s to 2-3-6 for the season. Bucknell held on for the 1-0 victory.
