Mount St. Mary’s University men’s soccer begins Metro Conference play Saturday, September 19, with a 7 p.m. match at the Marist Red Foxes. The game is scheduled for Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Mount St. Mary’s enters the match with a 0-2-4 record, while Marist is 2-1-3. The Mountaineers are coming off a 2-2 draw with Delaware, while Marist recently played to a 2-2 draw with UAlbany.

Camden Marquette scored on a header with five seconds remaining against Delaware to force the draw. Anthony Fanelli provided the cross on the late goal, while Daniel Morales Silva scored in the first half.
Ryan Collins finished with two goals against Delaware, bringing his season total to 15. Mount St. Mary’s will now take that result into its first Metro Conference match of the season.
Marist Red Foxes bring scoring production
Mani Diop leads Marist with three goals. The Red Foxes have scored 12 goals and conceded nine this season. Gavin Mitlitski was Marist’s goalkeeper in both of the team’s victories.
Marist is 2-0-1 against Mount St. Mary’s since the programs reinstated their rivalry as Metro Conference opponents.
Mount St. Mary’s series history with Marist
Mount St. Mary’s leads the all-time series against Marist 7-3-1, with matches dating back to 1989. However, all Mount wins came during Northeast Conference action. Since the teams reinstated their rivalry as Metro Conference opponents, Marist holds a 2-0-1 advantage.
Mount St. Mary’s is scheduled to return home September 26 to host Iona at 4 p.m.
