Mount St. Mary’s University men’s and women’s cross country teams earned second- and fourth-place finishes at the Stevenson Invitational in Stevenson, Maryland, on Sept. 19, 2026. The Mountaineers women’s team finished second with 62 points, while the men’s team placed fourth with 119 points. Chloe McCarthy and Jack Nebbia led Mount St. Mary’s cross country with top-three individual finishes.
Chloe McCarthy Leads Mount St. Mary’s University Women’s Cross Country
Chloe McCarthy finished second in the women’s 6K race with a time of 23:27.86. Nuria Escurado placed 15th in 25:19.94, followed by Riley Bell in 25:31.27 and Audrey Musmeci in 26:10.62.
Ella Swart completed Mount St. Mary’s women’s group of point scorers with a time of 26:47.53. Messiah University captured the victories for both the men’s and women’s races.
Jack Nebbia Takes Third in Men’s 8K
Jack Nebbia led Mount St. Mary’s men’s cross country with a third-place finish in the men’s 8K race. The freshman finished in 27:20.03 after placing 10th at the Mount 5K Duals to start the season.
EJ Villaver finished 34th in 29:21.19, while Nic Willis placed 41st, Chase Rosenfeld finished 47th and Gio Medrano took 51st.

Mount St. Mary’s University is scheduled to compete at the JMU Invitational the following weekend.
