Morgan State defeats Mount St. Mary’s, 78-68

The Morgan State Bears won their second game in a row on Saturday afternoon defeating Mount St. Mary’s, 78-68, at Hill Field House in Baltimore. The Bears improve to 2-3 on the season. The Mount falls to 0-6.

The bulk of the first half belonged to Mount St. Mary’s who held a double-digit lead ten minutes into the game. Morgan State climbed back into it before halftime, tying the score as the teams hit the locker room.

The Bears took no prisoners the second half, jumping out early and holding The Mount at arm’s distance the rest of the way.

Martez Cameron led Morgan State with 15 points. Victor Curry contributed eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks to the winning cause.

For Mount St. Mary’s, Jalen Gibbs scored 19 points. Malik Jefferson recorded 13 rebounds. Nana Opoku had three blocks along with his 15 points and nine rebounds.
