The McDaniel College men’s soccer team received its third consecutive United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for its classroom performance during the 2025-26 academic year. The Green Terror posted a 3.29 grade-point average.
United Soccer Coaches announced the honor Aug. 7. McDaniel College earned its first Team Academic Award in 2024 and has received the recognition three consecutive times.
McDaniel joins seven Centennial Conference honorees
McDaniel was one of seven Centennial Conference men’s soccer teams recognized for the 2025-26 academic year. Dickinson, Gettysburg, Haverford, Muhlenberg, Swarthmore and Ursinus also received the award.
McDaniel was one of four Centennial Conference schools to have both its men’s and women’s soccer teams honored. Haverford, Muhlenberg and Swarthmore were the other three schools in that group.
United Soccer Coaches honors 777 teams
A total of 777 soccer teams earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year by posting a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The total included 326 men’s teams and 451 women’s teams.
Of the 777 recognized teams, 175 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs honored. McDaniel’s 3.29 team GPA exceeded the award’s 3.0 requirement.
