McDaniel College men’s soccer senior Charlie Olson was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, earning the first conference weekly honor of his career. Olson led McDaniel with nine points on three goals and three assists last week.
The recognition marked McDaniel College’s second consecutive Centennial Conference weekly honor. Sophomore Nicholas Clarke received the first honor of the season on September 9, and McDaniel has recorded 10 conference player of the week selections over the last five seasons.
Charlie Olson Leads McDaniel College Men’s Soccer
Olson scored the game-winning goal in both of McDaniel’s wins last week. He contributed to six of the team’s nine goals as the Green Terror remained unbeaten through four games and extended their regular-season home unbeaten streak to seven.
Olson leads the Centennial Conference in points and game-winning goals. He ranks second in assists and third in goals.
McDaniel College Men’s Soccer Scheduled to Visit Goucher
McDaniel men’s soccer was set to play at Goucher the following afternoon in its first road match of the season. Kickoff was scheduled for 4 p.m. at Beldon Field, a trip of approximately 32 miles.
