Max Scherzer returns for finale against Pirates; lineup and updates: 8/22/2019
The Washington Nationals are set for their long-awaited finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight at PNC Park. Max Scherzer (9-5, 2.41 ERA) is finally back from the injured list following a back injury and is ready to start against Steven Brault (3-2, 4.06 ERA). Additionally, Brian Dozier returns from paternity leave after the birth of his first child. To make room for these two players, Adrian Sanchez and Kyle McGowin were sent to Double-A Harrisburg.
