Max Scherzer, Jacob deGrom square off in evening rematch; lineup and updates: 9/3/2019

The Washington Nationals and the New York Mets face off in an Opening Day rematch tonight at Nationals Park. Aces and Cy Young winners/contenders Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom are set to face each other again in a much-anticipated duel. The Nationals hope to regain ground after a tough 7-3 loss in the opener.

The Nationals have made two roster expansion call-ups today: Wilmer Difo from Triple-A Fresno and Michael A. Taylor from Double-A Harrisburg. This sets the Nationals roster to 34 players. The lineup tonight is as follows:

5. Matt Adams – 1B
6. Kurt Suzuki – C
