Maryland can play spoiler but may need the tournament for Hosting purposes.

As the Conference Tournaments have begun nationwide, they can also impact the NCAA tournament. Maryland sits 15th in the rankings, and while they do have a double bye, the Terps will need to make a run. If Maryland makes it to Sunday, they will host.

The road is tough but keep pushing!

The Big Ten has undergone significant changes within the last year. The Iowa Hawkeyes led by Caitlin Clark went back-to-back conference championships. Fast forwarding, the conference welcomed four teams from the Pac-12. Maryland will have their hands full starting Friday. Either Ohio State, Nebraska, USC, or UCLA are one of the four teams that Maryland will face on Saturday, which will be no strong feat.

Maryland vs Michigan (Round Two), and after that.

The last time these two teams met was February 17th. At the time, Maryland was on a three-game home losing streak. Maryland turned it around in the second half with key contributions from Shyanne Sellers, Sarah Te-Biasu, and Saylor Poffenbarger. The Terrapins went on to win that game 85-77.

Maryland ran after that game, finishing the season on a three-game winning streak. The Terps lost Saylor Poffenbarger during the Northwestern game to an ankle injury. Her availability as the Big Ten Championship run starts for the Terps.

As we are now in March, every game is precious, and at this point, the team must win.
