Maryland Will Face Navy in 2018

With the Maryland Terrapins basketball season right around the corner, the team announced yesterday that the Terps will play Navy in The 2018 Veterans Classic at Alumni Hall.  Maryland will be apart of the fifth annual men’s basketball doubleheader, hosted by Navy.

Maryland leads the all-time series 30-27 against Navy.  This is the first time the teams will collide since 1985 when Len Bias and David Robinson squared off.  Maryland moved on to the Sweet 16 as they won the game 64-59 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, led by Bias with 20 points and 8 boards.

Maryland just had Midnight Madness at the XFINITY Center and all Terp fans know that that means the season is upon us.  The Terps hope to reach the tournament for their fourth straight season since joining the Big Ten in 2014-15.

Maryland gets set to host D3 Randolph Macon College on Thursday, November 2nd at 7pm in an exhibition contest.  The first game of the season will take place against Stony Brook on Friday, November 10th at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Classic in New York.
