Maryland the New Favorite For Moses Brown

Moses Brown is a 7’1, 210 pound center in the class of 2018.  Brown is highly touted for his size and agility as he is, at times, a point-center it seemed in high school.  Maryland is now the new projected school to land the big man.

With the recent scandal in NCAA basketball, his two former first picks are now in trouble and have fallen off the table almost.  At Louisville, Rick Pitino has been the big story of this whole situation as he was fired from the team since taking over in 2001.  Arizona is also involved in the issue and shows as a red flag to new commits especially in the new one-and-done era of basketball.  No big time recruit is going to risk going to a school if they won’t get the proper attention and get overlooked by the school’s problems.

Recently updated, 247 Sports has Maryland as the number one team to land Brown.  Obviously no one is correct when it comes to guessing where a big recruit will go, but it sure makes Terp fans feel a little bit better about adding on another key player for the team.  They have Maryland with a solid 89% chance to add Brown, and Louisville has gone down from 87%, to 11%.  Brown is also plays at Archbishop Malloy High School in New York and Maryland is the closest school to home among the remaining teams he’s interested in. Other schools include, Michigan, Florida and Kansas.

The Terps are already building a big recruiting class for 2018 and Brown would make a big addition to the team.
