Maryland Men’s Lacrosse Releases 2021 Schedule

The Maryland Men’s Lacrosse team has finally released the first half of their much anticipated 2021 schedule. Thursday, the Big Ten came out with their plans for the 2021 Lacrosse season which will start on Saturday, February 20th.

Each of the five Big Ten teams will play each other twice, once home and once away. The Terps will be starting their season at home against Michigan on the 20th. After that, Maryland will head to Penn State for the first away game of the season on the 27th of February. Maryland will then head back home and play Johns Hopkins and Rutgers on March 6th and 13th then go out to Ohio State on March 20th to round out the first half of the season.

The Big Ten said that they will release the schedule of the second half of the season at a later time. This season will start with no fans in the stands for the Terps out of an abundance of caution but the team hopes to allow some fans in as the season goes on and health metrics hopefully progress.

The Big Ten also announced their plans for the 2021 Big Ten Tournament. The Tournament will include all six Big Ten teams, with the top two seeds getting a first-round bye. The quarterfinals will take place on May 1st and will be hosted by the higher-seeded teams. Then the semifinals and finals will be hosted by Penn State on May 6th and May 8th.
