Our Lady of Mount Carmel football improved to 2-0 with a 42-0 nonconference victory over Bishop Ireton, scoring 42 points for the second consecutive week. Quarterback Blake Caccamo passed for 247 yards and three touchdowns, while Isaiah Scott recorded 15 tackles and a sack in the shutout.
Chace Rohal added four carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns for Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The team will host Dundalk this week before a bye ahead of its Sept. 25 league opener against defending Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference champion St. Paul’s.
Blake Caccamo Leads Our Lady of Mount Carmel Football
Caccamo directed the Our Lady of Mount Carmel offense with 247 passing yards and three touchdown passes against Bishop Ireton. Rohal provided the rushing production with two touchdowns on four carries.
Scott led the defensive effort with 15 tackles and a sack. Our Lady of Mount Carmel scored 42 points for the second straight week while holding Bishop Ireton scoreless.
Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association Football Roundup
St. Paul’s opened its 2026 schedule with a 21-13 result against St. Alban’s. In the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference, Boys’ Latin defeated Landon 35-21, Severn defeated Severna Park 36-10 and John Carroll defeated Annapolis Area Christian 56-14.
Alonzo Wallace rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns for Boys’ Latin, while quarterback Joey Keller passed for 195 yards and two scores. Boys’ Latin will travel Thursday to face Hammond in Howard County.
Tristan Gales rushed for two touchdowns and recorded seven tackles, including a sack, for Severn. John Carroll quarterback Jack Sabol completed 10 of 13 passes for 238 yards and four touchdowns.
Archbishop Curley lost to St. James 22-10, and St. Vincent Pallotti lost to Georgetown Prep 24-0. Mount St. Joseph defeated St. Mary’s Ryken 45-13, while McDonogh defeated Haverford School (PA) 35-25.
St. Mary’s lost to Broadneck 29-27, Gilman lost to Bulls 29-23, and Archbishop Spalding lost to St. John’s College (DC) 21-18. Archbishop Spalding was identified as the four-time reigning league champion.
