Archbishop Spalding has won three straight games after beginning the season 0-2 in nonconference play. The Cavaliers are 3-2 overall and 2-0 in A Conference play after defeating Mount St. Joseph, 52-7, and Gilman, 32-0, in their first two league games.
Archbishop Spalding hosts Concordia Prep on Friday night. Concordia Prep is 3-1 overall and 1-1 in A Conference play after defeating St. Joe, 13-7.
McDonogh, Loyola Blakefield Prepare for League Games
McDonogh hosts Calvert Hall on Friday before traveling to Archbishop Spalding the following week. Calvert Hall is 2-2 overall and will play its first league contest of the year against McDonogh.
Loyola Blakefield hosts Gilman on Saturday in its first A Conference competition of the year. Gilman is 1-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
St. Mary’s hosts St. Joe on Friday night. St. Mary’s is 2-2 overall and 1-1 in A Conference play, while St. Joe is 3-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
St. Mary’s will then host Calvert Hall the following week and Gilman the week after.
John Carroll Leads B Conference Standings
John Carroll is 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference play after defeating Severn, 14-13. The Patriots travel to Essex on Friday to play Mount Carmel.
Mount Carmel is 4-0 overall and 1-0 in B Conference play after defeating St. Paul’s, 14-7. St. Paul’s is 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference and visits St. Vincent Pallotti on Friday night in Laurel.
Boys’ Latin is 3-0 overall and 1-0 in B Conference play after winning by forfeit against Annapolis Area Christian. Boys’ Latin travels to Severna Park on Saturday to play Severn.
Archbishop Curley is 1-3 overall and 1-0 in B Conference play after defeating St. Vincent Pallotti, 41-0. Archbishop Curley hosts Annapolis Area Christian on Friday.
