Maryland goes down to Temple

Cards out on the table, college football is a bit out of my realm so I will give this a shot. It’s Maryland Vs Temple as

Maryland wearing their road white with red numbers and Maryland flag on the helmet, as wearing classic Burgandy and white.
1st quarter

Anthony Russo runs in a 2 yeard score for Temple to go up 7-0, capping off a 4 play 59-yard drive.

Maryland forces a safety as Temple fumbled in the end zone and recovered,, 7-2

The game would become a defensive battle as neither team scored through the 1st and 2nd quarters.
At the half, it’s 7-2, sound more like a baseball score than a College football game.
Anthoy Mcfarland Jr with a TD run of 4 yards, after an 11 play 86 yard drive gives the Terps there 1st TD of the game and the lead, 9-7.

Wouldnt last long as Temple’s Jaden Blue makes a big catch and run, 79 yards, as Temple retakes the lead, 13-9, 2 pt conversion was no good.

Josh Jackson for UMD would find Mabry for the Touchdown to retake the lead, 15-13, teams trading touchdowns, the PAT is blocked!! Still 15-13 (UMD), a weird one in Philly

In the 4th, Anthony Russo would get another TD pass this time to Yaboeh, another TD pass for Russo his 3rd on the day, Temple up, 20-13.

Maryland drives the ball down to the 4-yard line late in the game but could not punch the ball in, as Shaun Bradley for Temple makes the stop to all, but end the game

Maryland Defense gets another safety with 2 seconds to go, but that runs out the clock

Maryland 17
Temple 20

A gut-wrenching loss for the Terps, who came into the game ranked (#21) for the 1st time in years, only to lose on the road and out of conference to Temple. Josh Jackson went 15 for 38 183 yards 1 TD and an INT, Anthnoy McFarland Jr had a good day with 26 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown, but it wasnt enough.  In this sports fans eyes, thsi losss may not knock them out of the Top 25 depending on how the rest of the day goes.

Up Next for the Terps is a Friday Night Game Vs Penn State as they kick off Big Ten Confernce play, the game will be on FS1 at 8pm.
