Maryland continues on the road success against Rutgers
As finishing 2022, on a high note. The Maryland Lady Terps start the new year on a high note as they defeated the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on the road 78-63.
Keys to Success
There’s no place like home
Diamond Miller returned to new jersey and started off slow but delivered a hometown performance. Starting off 1 of 8 for the field but made adjustments as the game progressed, and even had an NBA 2k move on three defenders and had the most amazing finish at the rim. Diamond Miller tied former Maryland Terrapins Lisa Brown who is 27th currently in all-time points.
Maryland’s Defense was the tone setter
For a team that moved to No.13 on the AP poll, Maryland continues to silence critics about how this team chemistry-wise would be successful. Maryland did commit 10 turnovers but forced the Scarlet Knights to surrender 53 points on turnovers which are good stat to hang your hat on if you are trying to keep the turnovers down, especially in the Big Ten.
The Others around Diamond Miller Part Two
This has to be emphasized in order for Maryland to have success in the 2nd part of the season the key is the others such Lavender Briggs, Brinae Alexander, Faith Masonious, etc they are key especially if Diamond has nights like in this game’s slow start, or foul trouble, who can be that x-factor to step in situations like this game or future matchups against Big Ten opponents.
