Mylymok discussed the Maryland Black Bears’ outlook during the NA Now video series, which is previewing every NAHL team ahead of the 2026-27 season. He said Maryland will combine structure and heaviness with the skill necessary to play a well-rounded style.
“We want teams to be aware that there’s some structure and some heaviness to our game, but there’s always going to be the skill component. You can’t win without skill. I want us to be well-rounded, and I want teams to really hate playing us again.”
Maryland Black Bears Bring Back Championship Credentials
The Maryland Black Bears finished the 2025-26 regular season with a 49-6-3-1 record and 102 points, placing first in the East Division. Harrison Smith led the team in scoring with 24 goals and 72 assists for 92 points.
Maryland then won the Robertson Cup Championship in 2026. Formed in 2018, the organization has won one regular-season title, three East Division titles in 2023, 2024 and 2026, and one Robertson Cup Championship in 2026.
Mylymok is coming off the championship and will look to carry that momentum into the 2026-27 season. The next team featured in the NA Now series will be the Lone Star Brahmas.
