Linderbaum, Hamilton Named to All-Rookie Team
The Ravens two, first-round picks in this past years NFL draft were both named to the PFWA 2022 All-Rookie Team.
Hamilton selected with the 14th overall selection out of the University of Notre Dame, got better as the season went on and became a key piece in the Ravens secondary down the stretch. In 2022 Hamilton finished the year with 62 total tackles, two sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and five passes defensed. In the Ravens wild-card game against the Bengals, Hamilton played the best game of the season finishing the game with nine total tackles, one tackle for loss, and forcing a fumble.
Linderbaum who was selected by the Ravens with the 25th selection out of the University of Iowa, was a day one starter for the Ravens and started in every game in 2022. Not only was Linderbaum the best rookie center in the NFL, he was one of the best centers in the entire NFL. Linderbaum only allowed three total sacks on the season and only committed six total penalties. Linderbaum consistently ranked near the top in run-block win rate through the duration of the 2022 season.
The strong finish to the season for both players and being honored as the best rookie safety and center in the NFL, should be a building block for both young players as they progress into 2023.
