Johns Hopkins University Athletics Names Matt Collison to William C. Schmeisser All-Time Johns Hopkins Team

Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse recognized Matt Collison as the 134th person named to the William C. Schmeisser All-Time Johns Hopkins Team during the presentation of the program’s 2026 team awards. Collison graduated in May after a four-year career and became the 20th four-time All-American in Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse history.

Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse coach Peter Milliman and his staff presented the awards at a luncheon before the Blue Jays’ annual alumni game. The alumni weekend also included the program’s annual golf outing and a postgame party for alumni, current team members and staff, family and friends of the program.

Matt Collison Earns All-Time Team Honor

Collison’s selection to the William C. Schmeisser All-Time Johns Hopkins Team added a significant honor to his Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse career. He became the 20th four-time All-American in program history and the 134th person named to the All-Time Team.

Matthew Collison also won the George D. Penniman Trophy for Outstanding Midfielder among the 2026 team awards. The official announcement lists Matt Collison for the All-Time Team honor and Matthew Collison for the midfield award.

  • Coaches Award for Dedication to Improving Which in Turn Helps the Team: Luke Martin
  • Chris Watson Academic Award for the Highest GPA on the Team: Tripp Didden

Carson Brown was the only player listed as a winner of two awards. He received both the Sidney C. Erlanger Trophy for Outstanding Senior and the 1941 Team Shaffer Award for Outstanding Defensive Player.
