Jen Hahn became the athletic director of the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School athletic program after initially joining the Baltimore school as a physical education teacher. Hahn arrived at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School on July 1 and took on the leadership role after the school identified a need for someone to lead its athletic program.
The position adds to a career that includes playing basketball, coaching, teaching and school communications work. Hahn also remains an assistant coach with the Harford Community College women’s basketball staff.
Jen Hahn’s Basketball and Coaching Background
Hahn played basketball at the Institute of Notre Dame from 2009-13 before attending York College of Pennsylvania. She coached girls basketball in the Central York School District from 2015-17 before joining Towson High School.
Hahn served as the junior varsity and varsity head coach at Towson High School from 2017-20. She later worked as the junior varsity head coach at Perry Hall during the 2021-22 season.
Hahn joined the Harford Community College women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in 2022 and remains on the staff. She said balancing her work at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and Harford Community College requires organization and time management.
“Balancing the two roles definitely takes organization and time management,” Hahn said. “I make sure I’m fully present and committed wherever I’m needed, whether that’s at Cristo Rey or with the women’s basketball team at Harford Community College.”
Hahn’s Experience in Education and Communications
Hahn began working as a physical education and health teacher at St. Michael-St. Clement School in 2019 and held that position for nearly five years. In April 2024, she became the school’s director of marketing and communications, a position she held through June.
Hahn said Cristo Rey Jesuit High School’s mission attracted her to the school. “What attracted me to the school was its strong mission and commitment to providing students with a high-quality education while helping them develop professionally and personally through real-world work experience,” Hahn said.

Hahn said her goals include building a strong, competitive culture and providing student-athletes with a positive and meaningful experience. She also wants to develop athletes on and off the field or court and create opportunities for more students to participate in sports.
“My goals for the Cristo Rey athletic program are to continue building a strong, competitive culture while making sure our student-athletes have a positive and meaningful experience,” Hahn said. “I want to help grow the program, develop our athletes both on and off the field or court, and create opportunities for more students to get involved in sports.”
Hahn said her work at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and Harford Community College is connected by her commitment to mentoring student-athletes.
“It can be challenging at times, but both roles are connected by my passion for working with and mentoring student-athletes,” she said. “I enjoy being able to contribute in both settings, and I think each role helps me grow and brings something valuable to the other.”
