Jackson Holliday’s Debut in AA

Over the weekend Orioles top prospect and MLB’s number one overall prospect Jackson Holliday made his AA debut for the Bowie Baysox. Holliday was just promoted from Single A+ from the Aberdeen Ironbirds where he put up staggering numbers. The 19 year old for the Ironbirds batted .314 with 5 homeruns and 35 RBIs in his short stint there. Now in Bowie Holliday is continuing to dominate. Through three games in AA he is batting .500 has a .571 OBP and a 1.154 OPS. He is 6 for 12 in his first three games not including two walks. One of those walks being a bases loaded intentional walk to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th inning. Although it was his first series in AA Holliday seems to still be dominating. Don’t be surprised if he ends up in Triple A by the end of this season or the beginning of next.
