Jack McDougall, a first-year member of McDaniel College men’s golf, was named Centennial Conference Athlete of the Week on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026. The honor is the first of McDougall’s career and marks McDaniel College’s fourth Athlete of the Week selection over the last two seasons.
McDougall Posts Career-Best Round at West Pines
McDougall totaled three-over-par 216 over 54 holes at the West Pines Collegiate in Douglasville, Georgia. He tied for 24th among 128 competitors and helped McDaniel College men’s golf finish 12th among 23 teams.
Before the tournament, McDougall had a 78.29 scoring average over his first seven career rounds. He averaged 72.00 over three rounds at West Pines, including a one-under-par 70 in the second round with four birdies and 11 pars.
The 70 was five strokes better than McDougall’s previous career low. His performance earned him his first Centennial Conference Athlete of the Week honor.
McDaniel College Men’s Golf Continues Recent Conference Run
McDaniel College has had five different players combine for eight Athlete of the Week selections over the last four seasons. Ethan Crabb, Sean Kelly, Charlie Dolan and Ryan McGarry are among the players included in that group.
McDougall and the McDaniel A and B teams are scheduled to compete Saturday in the 36-hole Mason-Dixon Collegiate at Waynesboro Country Club.
