ICYMI: #20 Towson Demolishes #5 Elon, Setting Up Critical Season Finale Against JMU

The Towson University Tigers Football Team (7-3, 5-2 CAA) came away with a tremendous victory against the Elon Phoenix (6-3, 4-2 CAA), 41-10. Here are the Highlights below:

The defense of the Tigers made life miserable for the Phoenix holding the to a season low points. This was a big rebound for them as they have gotten exposed the past two weeks against Delaware and Maine. At 7-3 early in the second quarter, Towson outscored Elon 34-3 the rest of the way, including 17-0 in the fourth period. This game sets up a very important showdown with James Madison University this coming Saturday at home. The winners is almost guaranteed a FCS playoff spot.
