Howard opened the tri-match with a 3-0 victory over Beaver County. The Dragons won the three sets 25-17, 25-10 and 25-17.
The victory marked Howard’s fourth straight win to start the season. The Dragons then earned their fifth consecutive victory against College of Southern Maryland.
Howard Holds Off College of Southern Maryland
Howard won the first two sets against College of Southern Maryland, 25-23 and 25-19. The CSM Hawks answered by taking the third and fourth sets, both by 25-22 scores.
The Dragons regrouped in the deciding fifth set and won 15-11. The result gave Howard a five-set victory and completed its two-match sweep at the tri-match.
Howard Community College Women’s Volleyball Prepares for Home Opener
Howard will play its home opener against Montgomery College on Tuesday, September 15, at 6 p.m. Montgomery College entered the scheduled match with a 3-7 record and a 3-1 conference record.
The Montgomery Raptors will be Howard’s next opponent after the Dragons opened the season with five consecutive wins. The match follows Howard’s two victories in Monaca, Pennsylvania.
