Howard Community College Men’s Soccer Team Defeats CCBC Catonsville 4-0 Behind Carson Feeser’s Two Goals

The No. 10 nationally ranked Howard Community College men’s soccer team defeated CCBC Catonsville 4-0 on Sept. 8 at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Howard improved to 4-0-1 overall and 3-0 in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference play. The victory kept Howard unbeaten through five matches.

Howard outshot CCBC Catonsville 28-9 and held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks. Carson Feeser scored twice, while Nelson Hernandez and Eben Koffi each added a goal in the shutout.

Carson Feeser Scores Twice in 82 Seconds

Feeser opened the scoring in the 16th minute on an assist from Yeabsira Tesfaye. He scored again 82 seconds later, with Kiar Sani providing the assist, to give Howard a 2-0 lead.

Feeser led Howard with two goals and five shots, including three shots on goal. Tesfaye recorded two assists as Howard carried its two-goal advantage into halftime.

Howard Community College Adds Two Second-Half Goals

Nelson Hernandez extended Howard’s lead in the 63rd minute on an assist from Tesfaye. Eben Koffi completed the scoring in the 81st minute after receiving a pass from Lucas Britos.

Howard goalkeeper Alejandro Dealverez made two saves to preserve the shutout, while CCBC Catonsville goalkeeper Balmore Baires made eight saves. Howard committed eight fouls, compared with 17 for CCBC Catonsville.

Howard Community College Hosts Harford Community College

Howard Community College is scheduled to host Harford Community College on Friday, Sept. 11, at 2:30 p.m. The match is the Howard Community College men’s soccer team’s next scheduled contest.

Howard Community College created early separation through Feeser’s two goals and maintained control throughout the 4-0 victory. The shutout improved Howard’s record to 4-0-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
