Howard Community College will begin its 2026-27 home athletics schedule this week, with the Howard Community College Dragons’ men’s and women’s soccer teams scheduled to host Carroll Community College in a Tuesday doubleheader. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 24, which also marks the start of home contests for the athletic season.
Howard Community College Soccer Schedule
The Howard Community College men’s soccer team is scheduled to open Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., followed by the women’s soccer team at 4:30 p.m. Both teams compete in NJCAA Region 20.
The men’s soccer team enters the week after going 1-0-1 at the NJCAA Kickoff Classic in Westfield, Indiana. The Dragons also played No. 5 Northeast Community College to a 0-0 draw during the event.
The women’s soccer team is seeking its first program win since a 3-0 victory over Allegany College of Maryland on Sept. 7, 2024. The team is scheduled to begin its home schedule against Carroll Community College on Tuesday.
The men’s and women’s soccer teams are scheduled to return to action Friday against Prince George’s Community College. The men’s match is set for 2:30 p.m., with the women’s match scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Women’s Volleyball Preseason Tournament
Howard Community College women’s volleyball is scheduled to compete in a preseason tournament at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, on Saturday at 11 a.m. The tournament field includes Goucher College, Stevenson University, Frederick Community College, and Carroll Community College.
The Dragons went 3-0 in their first preseason volleyball tournament, winning all nine sets against NJCAA Region 20 opponents. Saturday’s event is scheduled to serve as Howard Community College’s final preseason tournament before the regular season begins next week.
