Hood College Men’s Soccer Falls 3-0 to Marymount University in Arlington

Hood College men’s soccer lost 3-0 to Marymount University on Sept. 16, 2026, in Arlington, Virginia. Marymount scored in the 12th minute, added another goal early in the second half, and completed the scoring in the 75th minute.

The defeat dropped Hood College to 2-4 on the season, while Marymount University improved to 3-3-1. Despite leading 6-5 in corner kicks, Hood College was unable to convert its offensive opportunities into goals.

Marymount University Takes Control

Adam Labows made four saves for Hood College as the Blazers kept Marymount University off the scoreboard during the opening minutes. Marymount eventually broke through in the 12th minute to take a 1-0 lead.

Hood managed one shot during the first half and entered halftime trailing by one goal. Marymount scored again early after the break, extending its advantage to 2-0.

After Marymount’s second goal, Hood generated nine additional shots and applied pressure but could not capitalize. Marymount added its final goal in the 75th minute to secure the 3-0 victory.

Hood College Men’s Soccer Looks Ahead

Chito Alvarez, N’Tony Kalala, and Cristian Topovich each recorded a shot on goal for Hood College. Brian Alegria, Erick Shoetter-Rojas, and Christopher Nascimento scored for Marymount University, while Christopher Argueta and Nour Serrou each recorded an assist.

Hood College men’s soccer is scheduled to visit Wilkes University on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m. The match will be the team’s next opportunity to respond after the road loss in Arlington.
