Hood College men’s golf placed eighth among 14 teams at the Stevenson Fall Shootout on Oct. 1, 2026, at Piney Branch Golf Club in Upperco, Md. Hood posted a 36-hole team total of 630, finishing 62 strokes above par.
David Nuckolls Leads Hood College Men’s Golf
David Nuckolls recorded Hood’s top individual finish by placing 17th overall. He shot an 82 in the opening round before carding a 72 in the second round, which included six birdies.
Griffin Cansler and Caleb Dolan each finished with a score of 153, or 17 over par. Cansler shot a 77 over the final 18 holes and recorded four birdies, while Dolan posted seven pars on the back nine in the first round and followed with five pars and one birdie in the second round.
Hood College Men’s Golf Completes Stevenson Fall Shootout
Eli Kane shot an 80 in the first round and a 79 in the second round. Kane recorded seven pars on the back nine in the opening round, then added five pars and two birdies in the second round.
Blake Whitcomb finished with a score of 165, or 23 over par. He recorded birdies on holes 1 and 4 during the tournament.
Joseph Earley of Catholic recorded the top individual score at one over par. Goucher won the team competition with a score of 589, finishing 10 strokes ahead of the second-place Cardinals.

Hood College men’s golf will compete in round two of the Battle of the Beltway on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Oakmont Green Golf Course.
