Hood College Men’s Basketball defeated Elizabethtown 88-83 on Nov. 7, 2026, at Woodsboro Bank Arena in Frederick, Md., to win the Rotary Club of Frederick Tip-Off Tournament final. Jevon Yarbrough led Hood with 26 points and eight assists, and the Blazers received the Phil Berkheimer Trophy.
Yarbrough and Robinson Lead Hood College Men’s Basketball
Hood led 46-40 at halftime before Elizabethtown outscored the Blazers 43-42 in the second half. The Blue Jays cut Hood’s lead to 67-66 with 8:31 remaining, but Hood answered late to secure the five-point victory. Kullen Robinson scored 21 points on 7-for-9 shooting and became the ninth member of Hood’s 1,000-point club. Jake Bolyn added 12 points off the bench and made two 3-pointers.
Hood Holds Off Elizabethtown
Yarbrough helped Hood build a 57-46 advantage early in the second half. Elizabethtown responded behind Jayne Stanley, who led all scorers with 31 points, pulling within one point with 8:31 left. Hood restored its control during the closing minutes with contributions from Jude Huseby, Karron Mallory, Garrett Cox, Robinson, and Yarbrough before closing out the 88-83 win.
