Homegrown Orioles pitcher, Brandon Kline, has retired from the MLB

Brandon Kline was born in Frederick, Maryland and grew up a Baltimore Orioles fan. To say that it would be great to play for the Orioles one day, could be said to be an understatement. He was taken by the Orioles in the second round, 65th overall, in the 2012 Major League draft. Kline made his major league debut against the Minnesota Twins on April 20, 2019 where he pitched two innings.

While Kline was going through the minor league system, he was awarded the CAR mid-season all-star in 2014 when he was pitching for the Frederick Keys in his hometown. Kline finished his major league career with forty-one strikeouts and a 1.48 WHIP.

We here at the Maryland Sports Blog wish Kline a happy and safe retirement.
