Hershey loses to Wilkes Barre/Scranton 4-1 Friday Night

The Hershey Bears took on the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins Friday night, October, 28, 2018 in a 4-1 loss. This would be Herhey’s seventh and final game on a long road trip that began on October 12th. In the first period Zach Aston-Reese would head to the box at 12:32 for a slashing minor, putting the Bears on their second penalty kill of the night. Not long after, Anthony Angello  would score a short-handed goal at 13:55 to put the Penguins on the board.

In the second period it would be Adam Johnson with back to back goals at 9:27 and 16:25 in the frame pulling the Penguins ahead 3-0. Steve Whitney would find the stick of Liam O’Brien, who would find himself scoring his fifth goal of the season, putting Hershey on the scoreboard, and bringing the game to 3-1 at 11:14 in the last period. However, at 15:24 Jimmy Hayes beat Hershey Bears goalie Vitek Vanecek ending the game at 4-1. Both teams ended the night with twenty eight shots on goal.

Hershey will return to the ice Saturday October 27, 2018 to take on Wilkes Barre/Scranton on home ice at the Hershey Giant center. Puck drops at 7PM, and as always Zach Fisch will be calling all the shots on the Bears Radio Network!
